How tp change computer name in Windows OS

Change computer name via Settings

1. Open Settings Press the ‘windows key’ then click the Setting icon
   

2. Click the ‘System’ icon
   

3. Click ‘About’ on the sidebar, then find ‘Rename pc’. And Click the button.
   

4. Put your new computer’s name in blank dialog box and click ‘Next’ button
   

5. You can choose both. if you choose ‘Restart later’, then it won’t change name before restart.
   

Change computer name via Control Panel

1. Press [Windows key] + r, and filled ‘control panel’ in the ‘Open’ dialog box, and press ‘OK’.
   

2. Change into ‘Small item’ after pressing ‘Category’ next to ‘View by’ right upper in the new pop-up control panel window.
   

3. Click ‘System’ in the list.
   

4. Click ‘Advanced system settings’ on side bar in ‘View basic information about your computer’ window changed.

5. Click the ‘Change’ button in the right middle of the Computer Name section in the System Properties menu.
   

6. Fill the Computer name you want into the ‘computer name’ blank box in the new pop-up window named ‘Computer Name/Domain Changes’. and press ‘OK’
   

7. Click ‘OK’ Button on the new pop-up window which has ‘You must restart your computer to apply these changes’.
